Whether you’re looking for care for yourself or a loved one, searching for non-regulated support, arranging cleaning services, or simply trying to understand how SP Hub works, this page is designed to give you clear answers before you get started.
SP ClearStart Hub is a trust-first matching platform designed to connect individuals, families and organisations with suitable providers while keeping CQC-registered care, non-CQC support and cleaning services clearly separated.
Please read the relevant information carefully before submitting an enquiry, registering as a provider or using any SP Hub service. Our legal documents, including the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Terms & Conditions, Provider Agreement and Data Protection Statement, are important because they explain your rights, responsibilities, how information is handled and how the platform operates.
SP ClearStart Hub is a platform designed to connect people looking for care, support and cleaning services with suitable providers.
The platform is built around three clearly separated provider pathways:
The purpose is to make finding the right type of provider easier while giving providers a structured way to present their services and relevant information.
No. SP Hub operates as a matching and connection platform.
SP Hub helps users discover and make enquiries with providers, but the actual service is provided by the selected provider. Providers remain responsible for their own legal, regulatory, safeguarding, insurance, recruitment, service delivery and complaints obligations.
There are three main categories:
CQC Registered Care Providers
Providers offering regulated care services and stating that they are registered with the Care Quality Commission.
Non-CQC Support Providers
Providers offering non-regulated support such as companionship, social inclusion, community access, life skills and practical support.
Cleaning Providers
Businesses offering domestic, office, deep, end-of-tenancy, after-builders and other cleaning services.
These categories are deliberately separated so users can understand what type of service they are looking at.
Start by selecting Find Support and choosing the category that matches your needs.
You can then browse available providers and use relevant search options such as:
Once you find a provider you're interested in, you can view their profile and submit an enquiry or request an assessment where available.
Every provider listed on SP Hub can have a unique Provider Code/Job Number that helps the SP Hub team identify the provider quickly.
For example:
SPH-CQC-1001
or
SPH-NCS-2001
If you have already found a provider you prefer, you can enter their Provider Code when completing your care-seeker enquiry.
The Provider Code should be displayed on the provider's SP Hub profile.
If you have found a provider you want to contact, copy the code exactly as displayed and enter it into the Preferred Provider Code field on your enquiry form.
This helps our administration team locate the correct provider without relying solely on the provider's business name.
You don't need to register as a provider. Instead, select Find Support or Submit an Enquiry and complete the care-seeker application.
You'll be asked for information such as:
The information allows SP Hub to understand your request and identify the appropriate provider pathway. The platform should only collect information necessary for the enquiry or matching process.
Yes. A family member or another person acting on behalf of someone requiring support may submit an enquiry.
The form should clearly identify:
Who needs the support?
and, where applicable:
Who is submitting the enquiry on their behalf?
Provide accurate information so SP Hub and the relevant provider understand who the request concerns.
The care-seeker application may request a profile image to help identify the applicant and support the administration of the request.
The recommended image size is:
Accepted formats can include JPG, JPEG and PNG.
The image should be clear and appropriate.
Your care-seeker profile image should not be treated as a public provider-directory image. Personal information should only be accessible to authorised users who have a legitimate reason to access it.
Once you submit your application:
1. SP Hub receives your request.
2. Our team reviews the information provided.
3. If you selected a preferred provider, we use the Provider Code to identify them.
4. We reach out to the provider regarding your request.
5. We get back to you with an update and explain the next steps.
Where appropriate, an assessment can then be arranged with the provider. The strategic blueprint describes the client journey as enquiry → review → suitable provider → assessment → service commencement.
Submitting an enquiry does not guarantee that a particular provider will accept the request or that the requested service will be available.
Yes. Your application can be assigned a unique reference number, for example:
SPH-CARE-10482
This helps SP Hub identify your enquiry when you contact the team.
No. Keep your Care-Seeker Code private.
Your reference code is associated with your enquiry and may help SP Hub locate information relating to your request.
Do not publicly post it, share it on social media or give it to people who do not need it.
If someone contacts you claiming to represent SP Hub and asks for information you're uncomfortable sharing, contact SP Hub through its official support channel before providing anything.
No.
It is an application/reference identifier, not a password or authentication credential.
You should still treat it as private because it can help identify your enquiry within the SP Hub system.
This section is intended for providers who state that they are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and provide regulated care services.
SP Hub may display relevant provider information and document-check indicators, but SP Hub is not CQC and does not replace a provider's own regulatory responsibilities.
No.
SP Hub approval and CQC registration are different things.
SP Hub may review provider documentation for its own platform approval process. This does not mean SP Hub is a regulator, that CQC has approved the provider through SP Hub, or that SP Hub guarantees the provider's compliance or inspection outcome.
This category is for providers offering non-regulated support, where the services do not amount to regulated activity.
Examples can include:
Not unless they are legally registered or otherwise authorised to provide the relevant regulated activity.
SP Hub requires non-CQC providers to acknowledge that they will not advertise or provide regulated activities unless legally registered or authorised to do so.
The cleaning section is designed as a separate service route and may include:
Users can search for cleaning providers and submit enquiries based on their requirements.
No.
The cleaning directory is intentionally separate from care and support services.
Cleaning providers should not be presented as CQC-approved providers, care providers or providers of regulated personal or clinical support.
No.
Providers are required to submit relevant information, documentation and insurance for review.
A provider should not become publicly visible simply because they completed a registration form or paid a fee. SP Hub administration must review and approve the application before publication.
The provider's application goes through a review process.
Possible statuses include:
Submitted → Under Review → More Information Required → Approved → Live
Applications may also be rejected, suspended or removed where appropriate.
The purpose is to support a structured provider review process and give SP Hub better information when assessing whether a provider is suitable for publication on the platform.
Depending on the provider category, documentation can include insurance, safeguarding, complaints, privacy/data protection, CQC evidence, health and safety information and other relevant policies.
SP Hub may collect personal information from care seekers, families and providers. The platform should collect only information that is necessary, explain why it is being collected, protect it appropriately and restrict access to authorised users.
The Privacy Policy should explain matters including:
Not everything submitted to SP Hub is public.
Sensitive information and uploaded documents should be stored privately and accessible only to authorised users. Provider documents, for example, should never be publicly accessible simply because they were uploaded during registration.
Because it explains what happens to your information after you submit it.
Before submitting a form, you should understand what information you're providing, why SP Hub needs it, how it may be used or shared, and what rights you have regarding your personal information.
SP Hub's blueprint specifically calls for clear privacy information, secure forms, restricted access, retention controls and processes for data requests.
Before using the platform, users and providers should review the documents relevant to them, including:
Privacy Policy
Explains how personal information is collected and handled.
Cookie Policy
Explains how cookies and similar technologies are used.
Terms & Conditions
Sets out the rules governing use of the platform.
Provider Agreement
Sets out the responsibilities and terms applicable to providers.
Data Protection Statement
Provides additional information about SP Hub's data protection approach.
Accessibility Statement
Explains SP Hub's commitment to accessibility.
These documents form part of the planned SP Hub website structure.
Because submitting information to SP Hub creates responsibilities for both the user and the platform.
The relevant terms explain things such as how the service operates, how information is handled, what users can expect and what responsibilities apply.
Don't tick an agreement box simply to get through the form. Read the document first.
The final legal wording should be professionally reviewed before launch.
You should use the appropriate Complaints route rather than submitting the issue as a general enquiry.
SP Hub's administration system is intended to allow complaints to be recorded and managed separately.
Safeguarding concerns should be directed through the dedicated Safeguarding route.
Do not rely on a general contact form or live chat if you believe someone is at immediate risk.
If there is an immediate emergency or someone is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency service first.
Live chat can help with general platform questions and support, but sensitive matters such as safeguarding concerns, complaints and data protection requests should be routed through the appropriate dedicated channels. This prevents important issues from being lost inside ordinary enquiries.
SP Hub's commercial model can include different fees, such as:
No.
Payment for a listing, subscription or featured placement should not be confused with compliance approval.
A provider still has to satisfy the SP Hub's review requirements before being published.
Take time to review the provider's profile, services, location and available information.
Where applicable, look at the provider's stated registration status and the information shown regarding documents or insurance reviewed by SP Hub.
Remember that SP Hub's platform checks do not replace your own assessment of whether a provider is suitable for your circumstances.
No.
SP Hub helps people find and connect with providers, but the suitability of a service ultimately needs to be assessed according to the individual's circumstances and the provider's ability to meet those requirements.
For regulated care, SP Hub must not imply that it guarantees CQC compliance, ratings, registration approval or inspection outcomes.
Don't worry.
Use the Submit an Enquiry route and explain what you're looking for. If you're unsure whether you need CQC care, non-CQC support or cleaning services, SP Hub can use your enquiry to help direct you towards the appropriate pathway.
We're here to help you navigate SP Hub and understand the right next step.
Whether you're looking for a provider, registering your business, need help with an application, or have a question about how the platform works, contact our support team.
